Abstract

The article is devoted to improving the suspension design of a self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT) using optimization methods. Based on the conducted studies of the stress-strain state of the SPMT suspension and mathematical modeling of forces in the elements of the SPMT suspension, the following are proposed: 1) updated coordinates of the hydraulic cylinder rod mounting axis; 2) cutouts in the upper levers and the metal suspension body; 3) localized reinforcements in the lower arm mounting assemblies; 4) rounding in areas of sharp transitions. These design changes will reduce the average and maximum stresses in the SPMT suspension design by 4-10%, as well as reduce the weight of the suspension by 6-8%, without changing the material of the SPMT suspension components.

Abstract

The article presents a solution to the issues of determining the necessary and sufficient conditions for transporting bulk goods on a pulsed inertial roller conveyor, the end support of which has the ability to move along an inclined plane. Compared with a horizontally mounted conveyor operating as an independent unit or as part of technological machines of different industry productions, the proposed design solution will expand the boundaries of variation in conveyor parameters by 20% along with increased productivity and will enable it to perform additional operations related to loading and unloading of other transport and technological machines and warehouse equipment.

Abstract

A method for maintaining the working condition of a crane is proposed, which involves a transition from a calendar to a rolling planning of maintenance and repairs based on an analysis of the intensity of operation. The implementation of the method is based on the processing of up-to-date, objective, reliable and complete information about the actual use of the crane and its mechanisms. It is proposed to use new-generation security devices as sources of information, the objectivity of which is achieved by jointly processing data from alternative sources, reliability is ensured by improving processing algorithms adapted to the specifics of the measured processes. To protect against destruction according to the strength criterion, it is proposed to use algorithms for predicting force factors that take into account the characteristics of the crane, operating conditions and possible control commands. To assess the technical condition of the crane and its mechanisms, it is proposed to use the criterion of drive energy. Examples of practice-oriented techniques and promising safety devices implementing the presented principles are described.

Abstract

The possibility of using patterns in the training of engineers is being considered to reduce the amount of information that the student needs to learn over a certain period of time and to develop creative activity in design. An example of the "Manipulator balancing device" pattern is given, which makes it possible to briefly explain to the student the basic physical principle of operation of devices for static balancing of manipulator links.
