Abstract

The issue of reviving the school of design of lifting equipment is being resolved, the main trends in the development of which are:

- creation of qualitatively new types of lifting and transport machines and mechanisms, as well as extensive modernization of existing machines and installations to ensure mechanization and automation of loading and unloading, transport and storage operations in all areas of transport construction;

- increase in the carrying capacity and reliability of machines with a simultaneous significant reduction in their metal intensity due to the use of new kinematic schemes, more advanced calculation methods, the use of rational lightweight profiles of rolled products, new materials (alloy steels, light alloys and plastics), as well as advanced engineering technology (new methods of heat treatment, application of strengthening coatings, etc.);

- increase in the productivity of equipment due to the use of wide regulation of the speed of mechanisms, automatic, semi-automatic and remote-control using microprocessor and computer technology, both for controlling the operation of machines and for calculations and design;

- creation of special gripping and other lifting units, as well as ensuring comfortable working conditions for the crane operator.

To ensure these indicators, it is necessary to train specialists in the field of designing competitive lifting machines.

Abstract

In 2024 the department of “Lifting and Transportation Systems” reached a significant milestone - the centenary of its foundation. This anniversary has become an occasion not only to summarize the results, but also to demonstrate the achievements in the field of training specialists. Over the past decades, the department has formed a unique educational environment, which combines the continuity of traditions and the introduction of modern approaches to learning.

Abstract

In this paper, the problem of determining the rational layout of the mechanism for stabilizing the cargo platform of a walking robot is solved. The study is aimed at determining the effect of various loads that occur when holding the cargo platform in a given position, depending on the location of the stabilizing mechanism. To solve the problem, a dynamic analysis of the stabilization mechanism was carried out using the SolidWorks Motion automatic design system. In the course of the work, various options for the location of the stabilizing mechanism were considered, which made it possible to identify the most effective options for its placement. The results obtained make it possible to increase the reliability of the stabilization mechanism and the stability of the cargo platform of the walking robot. In the future, it is planned to conduct experimental studies to verify the data obtained and optimize the design of the stabilizing mechanism of the cargo platform. This will expand the functionality of the walking robot, which is an important step in the development of mobile systems.

Abstract

The article presents an overview and analysis of the designs of domestic and foreign manufacturers of live pallet racking. The main comparison criteria are given and the advantages of compact storage systems are considered. The design and operating principle of live pallet racking are described. A comparative analysis of live pallet racking with shuttle and frontal pallet racks was conducted. The main advantages of live pallet racking are identified, which, compared to other compact storage systems, provide high productivity, storage density and are more cost-effective than shuttle racks at channel depths of less than 15 pallets. The main design parameters of the metal construction of live pallet racking are determined. The obtained results are supposed to be used in the calculation method of the metal construction of live pallet racking.
