GROUND TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL FACILITIES AND COMPLEXES
The article informs readers about the interuniversity conference "Young Engineer" held at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which has been held annually for 30 consecutive years. Brief historical and statistical information is provided. The features of the conference and current tasks for the future are shown. A summary of the speeches of the participants of the plenary session is given. The thematic areas of the sections' work are presented. The achievements characterizing the importance of the conference for the training of engineering personnel are summarized.
The article is a continuation of the research started in [1]. The solution of the issues of establishing kinematic patterns of movement of piece loads on a pulsed inertial roller conveyor (IIRC) with a movable trapezoidal arrangement of the end support (axis), which has the ability to move along an inclined plane with access to the level of the head support (axis) of the frame, is presented. Compared with a horizontally mounted conveyor operating as an independent unit or as part of technological machines for various purposes, the proposed design solution will expand the boundaries of variation in conveyor parameters by 20% along with increased productivity and will enable it to perform additional operations related to loading and unloading of other transport and technological machines and warehouse equipment.
The article discusses modern approaches to the design of passenger suspension cable cars in the Russian Federation. The main stages of technological design, the development of a longitudinal profile, engineering calculations of load-bearing structures and the formation of accounting documentation are presented. Ruslet's experience in creating interactive tools, parametric 3D models, and an end-to-end database for automating calculations and design is described. Special attention is paid to geotechnical calculations and the implementation of domestic software in accordance with the requirements of import substitution and industrial safety.
The paper proposes a mathematical description of typical mechanical defects in crane electric drive components in order to analyze their influence on the electrical parameters of an induction motor. The modeling was carried out on the basis of a dynamic motor model in a stationary two-phase α-beta coordinate system, taking into account the electromechanical coupling and inertial properties of the drive. Mechanical faults are represented as additional torque disturbances in the equation of rotor rotational motion. Four calculation cases corresponding to different defect groups are considered: tooth breakage, bearing cage defect, coupling looseness, and rail joint irregularity. The results of numerical simulation show that these defects cause pronounced changes in the stator current, differing in amplitude and pattern of manifestation. The obtained results confirm the potential of using electrical parameters for diagnosing the technical condition of the mechanical part of a crane drive.
ENGINEERING PRIDE OF RUSSIA
On the example of the activities of the Head of the Department of "Lifting and Transport Machines" of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Professor M.P. Alexandrov, the article discusses the current challenges of organizing engineering education in the country and the main areas of work of the university department that contribute to improving the professional level of graduates. The article also discusses the experience of collaborative work between departments of various higher education institutions in the USSR to enhance the level of engineering education.
