Synthesis of a mechanism for converting uneven rotational motion of rotors into uniform rotation of the output shaft of a rotary-vane engine

Abstract

The results of synthesizing a mechanism that converts the uneven rotational motion of the rotors into a uniform rotation of the output shaft of a rotary-vane engine (RVE) are presented. The transformation is carried out by a roller-cam mechanism and an associated symmetric differential planetary gearbox. A distinctive feature of the mechanism is the original cam profile, which provides the necessary synchronization of the rotation of the rotors with periodic stops, which allows you to create the best conditions for the transmission of torque from the rotors to the output shaft of the engine. A visual comparative assessment of the effectiveness of mechanisms implementing a conversion scheme with stopped rotors and a harmonic-sinusoidal scheme is given. The coefficient of torque transformation is justified by the evaluation criterion.

The directions of further research in the field of creating RVE with high specific indicators are shown.
