(The Rules were developed taking into account the "Methodological recommendations for the preparation and formatting of scientific articles in journals indexed in international scientometric databases" developed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers)
- Applications and materials for publication are sent via the electronic editorial office of the journal on the website http://maplants-journal.ru .
- The editorial board accepts for consideration:
original scientific articles (a detailed format for presenting the results of logically completed scientific research) with a volume of up to 5,000 words, 5-8 figures, including tables, up to 20 references to sources from scientific journals;
short messages (a short format for presenting individual results of a logically completed scientific study) – no more than 2500 words, no more than 3 drawings, no more than 8 references;
review articles (analytical generalization of a research topic, or thematic reviews corresponding to the headings of the journal) - from 2500 or more words, no more than 10 figures, up to 50 links.
- Scientific articles on the following scientific specialties from the List of the Higher Attestation Commission are accepted for publication:
2.4.7. Turbomachines and piston engines (technical sciences);
2.4.8. Machines and apparatuses, processes of refrigeration and cryogenic technology (technical sciences);
2.5.2. Mechanical Engineering (technical sciences);
2.5.5. Technology and equipment of mechanical and physico-technical processing (technical sciences);
2.5.6. Technology of mechanical engineering (technical sciences);
2.5.11. Ground transportation and technological facilities and complexes (technical sciences);
4.3.1. Technologies, machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex (technical sciences, agricultural sciences).
4. Works that do not relate to the above-mentioned specialties from the List of the Higher Attestation Commission, but correspond to the thematic sections (headings) of the journal, are also accepted for publication.
- The following documents must be attached to the manuscript of the article:
- The author's statement, in which the author sets out a request for review of the manuscript of the article and its subsequent publication, assures that the article has not been previously published in other publications and has not been submitted for review to other journals, and also accepts responsibility for the accuracy of information, the accuracy of citations and references to official documents and other sources.;
- conclusion on the possibility of open publication.
- The structure of the scientific article:
- Universal Decimal Classification Index (UDC);
- The full title of the article is in Russian and English. The title of the article should clearly reflect its content, it is not allowed that the title consists of several sentences, should not contain mathematical formulas, letters of alphabets other than Russian and Latin, abbreviations.;
- Full names of the authors (the number of authors should not exceed four) in Russian and English. In English, it is important to follow the spelling variant in the following order: full name, patronymic initial, surname (for example, Anna V. Ivanova);
- abstract 150-200 words (includes: relevance, problem statement, research goals and methods, results and key conclusions) in Russian and English;
- keywords – 6 to 10 words and phrases (reflect the specifics of the topic, object and results of the study) in Russian and English;
- the main text of the article is in Russian;
- acknowledgements (thanks to colleagues for their help, thanks for financial support of the study, if any) in Russian and English ;
- bibliographic list in Russian and English.
- Russian and English language information about authors (affiliations): surname, first name, patronymic, academic degree, academic title, position, place of work (including postal address with zip code), email address in Russian and English, as well as, if available, the SPIN code of the RSCI, Scopus Author ID, ORCID, Web of Science Researcher ID.
- The main text of a scientific article should contain the following structural sections.
7.1. Introduction. This section includes the relevance of the research topic, an overview of the most well-known and reputable publications, the formulation of the research problem, the formulation of the goals and objectives of the work, its novelty and practical significance.
7.2. Description of the conducted research.
If the article is devoted to experimental research, then this section describes in detail the methods and scheme of experiments/ observations that allow reproducing their results using only the text of the article. The description of instruments, equipment, materials and conditions of experiments/observations is also given.
In theoretical work, mathematical calculations are presented with such a degree of detail that it is easy to reproduce them and verify the correctness of the results obtained. Statistical procedures are presented very briefly, since in most cases either well-known methods of statistical analysis or their modifications are used.
The review and analytical article provides an objective analysis of the known data on the chosen research area. Information is systematized, current problems and tasks are identified. The analysis should be based around the problem, not the publications.
7.3. Results. The section presents the actual research results (text, tables, graphs, diagrams, equations, photographs, drawings).
7.4. Discussion. The section contains an interpretation of the research results, for example:
- compliance of the obtained results with the research hypothesis;
- boundaries of research and generalization of its results;
- suggestions for practical application;
- suggestions on the direction of future research.
7.5. Conclusion. It contains brief summaries of the sections of the article without repeating the wording given in them.
- The bibliographic list includes only those sources that were used in the preparation of the article. The design of the bibliographic list is regulated by GOST R 7.0.5–2008. The bibliographic list is given in the order of citation. All sources should be numbered, numbering is carried out strictly according to the citation in the text of the article, but not in alphabetical order. All references to sources in the text of the article are printed in Arabic numerals in square brackets (for example [1] ).
The bibliographic list should include references to current scientific works by domestic and foreign experts, primarily articles published over the past 3 to 5 years in peer-reviewed and/or included in global citation indexes of scientific periodicals.
Self-citation should not exceed 15% of the list.
The list should not include unpublished materials or materials that are not publicly available. It is not recommended to refer to the materials of textbooks and textbooks, popular science literature.
Regulatory documents (resolutions, orders, charters), GOST standards, and reference literature should not be included in the bibliographic list. The placemarks on them should be in the form of footnotes in the text of the manuscript of the article.
9. The manuscript of the article should be submitted as an MS Word file (.doc or .docx). Files in the format .PDFs are not accepted.
The text should be printed in one and a half 14-pin intervals, Times New Roman font, with 20 mm wide margins. Paragraph margins should be the same throughout the text — 6-8 mm.
Quotation marks (" "); brackets ([ ], ( )); dashes — large (—) in text; small (-) in numeric combination (1-5, 1996-1998, etc.).
Page numbering is required.
The text of the article should contain references to tables, figures and literary sources listed in the bibliographic list.
To hyphenate words, use the automatic tools of the MS Word text editor (it is strictly forbidden to use hyphenation on demand).
10. Figures, diagrams and graphs should be embedded in the text of the article with mandatory numbering and caption. Also drawings in the format .JPG, .GIF or .BMP with a resolution of 300 dpi should be submitted to the editor in separate files. Drawings and photographs should be clear and precise, with well-developed details, taking into account the subsequent reduction.
The tables are provided in the MS Word editor.
Tables should have a title aligned to the left, and illustrations should have captions aligned to the center.
All names, captions, and structural elements of graphs, tables, diagrams, etc. are written in Russian and English.
11. If the diagram, graph, or table is borrowed from another author, then the source of the information should be indicated. When creating your own graphs or diagrams, you can specify the sources of statistical information that were used for calculations.
12. Additionally, the drawings are in the format .JPG, .GIF, .BMP with a resolution of 300 dpi should be submitted to the editor as separate files.
13. Formulas are typed using the built-in tools of the MS Word or MS editor. Formula numbers are indicated in parentheses at the right edge of the page. Numbers are assigned only to formulas that are referenced in the text.
14. The System of International Units (SI) should be used in the manuscripts of articles. Abbreviations should be deciphered at the first mention of them in the text, with the exception of accepted abbreviations of units of measurement, physical, chemical, technical and mathematical quantities and terms (units of measurement are given in Russian).
15. The authors publishing in the journal agree with the following:
- The authors retain the copyright to the work and grant the journal the right to publish the work for the first time under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to distribute the work with mandatory retention of links to the authors of the original work and the original publication in this journal.
