Development of a wind protection system

Abstract

This paper describes the development of a two-tier system of wind protection for railway cranes. Unlike currently used technical safety equipment, the wind protection system implements a comprehensive approach to ensuring the protection of cranes from dangerous wind conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements. The article describes the structure of the system, the development of new safety measures, and the necessary improvements to existing ones. The structure and informational content of the dispatch station have been developed, on the basis of which the second level of the wind protection system is built, and prospects for improving the algorithms of its operation are described.
